Our first wedding of the season was OFF THE HOOK. I really can't think of a better description.

I have to confess that it totally brings tears of joy to my eyes to look at these photographs of my beautiful friend, Anna, and her precious family.

The next day, us girls got together for a few more shots of the baby.
Delightful baby Quinn is six months old! I feel so honored to be documenting the first year of her life, and working with her family is just such a joy. She's one of the happiest babies I've ever met, her little smile lights up the room. You may remember her newborn session from last summer... she's grown a bit since then! Prepare yourself for the cuteness....

When the rain threatened to ruin our engagement session plans, Ryan and Jenn were not phased! We decided that we could move our session inside their adorable home if needed, and so we did. I've been wanting to shoot a couple in their home for a long time... and this exceeded my expectations.

We were able to go outside and roam around their Hillcrest neighborhood in between showers.

We headed back inside for a wardrobe change and it started pouring. They were so fun and up for anything, we moved the session into the parking garage.

10. Arguably the most perfect wedding shoe I have seen recently, and how fun to have a little splash of blue hiding under your dress!!

This fun event will feature signature cocktails and appetizers from The Palm Restaurant, gorgeous florals from Rhapsody In Bloom and we will be raffling off a complementary engagement session as well as offering additional discounts and giveaways! I'm so excited to finally blog this wedding ... after this, I think we're officially caught up on blogging!!
Pete and Karina had a beautiful day, surrounded by friends and family from all over the world. The festivities began as they prepared at The Lowes Coronado Resort. Their First Look, Wedding Party and majority of their portraits were shot there as well. Since Erik wasn't available to shoot this wedding, the fabulous Jennifer Berg made a special appearance and stepped in as second shooter for the day! She blew me away with her photos of the groom and his guys getting ready!
As I mentioned before, Pete and Karina chose to do a First Look. It was so sweet - look at the way she's looking at him! It also allowed us plenty of time to capture gorgeous portraits of the two of them together. I can't stress how important is is to us have this time with our couples, and the First Look is the perfect way to achieve this! While we are fully equipped to capture images on the fly, we do believe the best portraits are made when we have ample time (at least an hour!)alone with a relaxed bride and groom in front of our lens.

We also had plenty of time before the ceremony to have some fun with the wedding party.
The floral were provided by the fabulous Missy of Rhapsody in Bloom. She made sure everything was perfect!
The Ceremony and Reception took place at The Coronado Community Center. The day went off without a hitch thanks to the expert coordination of Julie Scriviner.
