I am waayyy overdue on blogging this wedding, but it's just too beautiful not to post!

Amanda and JJ were married on Halloween at the La Jolla Women's Club. It was gorgeous and intimate with a sprinkling of sweetness and a large helping of par-tay! My kind of celebration!

We shot this GORGEOUS wedding quite some time ago and are finally getting around to sharing it with you. I just want to say how much we truly loved and felt honored to work with Brandon and Jamie on their day. They are the sweetest love birds, and hardly left each other's sides throughout the event.

Thank you to Pink Papaya Creative Events for their flawless coordination.

There were so many special, personal touches - Brandon designed the programs, table numbers, escort cards, etc, etc.

Just before Jamie got into her dress, her sorority sisters presented her with a handkerchief embroidered with the bride and groom's initials. She ended up wrapping it around her bouquet - so sweet!

The florals were to die for, thanks to Peggi Walker and her team at Metro Floral.

I had a few minutes alone with Jamie just before the ceremony started. She was bubbling with excitement and could not wait to see her groom!

Her gown is Luly Yang.

Their ceremony was officiated by Assemblyman Nathan Fletcher, a long time friend of theirs.

The venue, Estancia La Jolla, is a dream. I love it's Spanish flair - the lush gardens were our playground.

They brought out cookies and shots of milk for a 'Late Night Snack'. Awesome!

john + becky, a yosemite wedding - tangerine tree photography, destination weddings

We'd never been to Yosemite before so when John and Becky asked us to be their wedding photographers, we couldn't have been more excited! Driving to their rehearsal, the views were literally breath taking, we gasped, we ohhhed and we ahhhed - what better inspiration could we ask for? We knew the following day was going to be pretty magical. It is just so deeply beautiful up there, kind of like their love for each other and it was our job to to capture it all...  we were feeling pretty giddy about what we do.

The ceremony was held at the Yosemite Chapel, which is the oldest building in Yosemite National Park, located right across from Yosemite Falls.

When the doors opened and John saw his bride... I told you, breathtaking views!

 

 

After the ceremony, they had a quick moment alone outside the chapel. I tear up almost every time I look at this series of images. This is why we do what we do.

 

 

 

 

 

 

These next few images were shot in the lobby of the GORGEOUS Awahnee Hotel, where their reception was held.

ken + christina, an art gallery wedding - san diego and orange county wedding photography

I love weddings that include personal touches. This was no exception! The groom is a very talented artist and hung his work at the gallery, Second City Council, where everything took place. Tina designed her wedding dress and it was one of the most gorgeous and unique I've seen. They also hung black and white portraits of their guests to find when they arrived - it was fun to see their reaction at not only being a guest but a work of art on display! When packing up at the end of the day, we contemplated how many pieces of Ken's work we could sneak out with our gear. I've been a huge fan of his work for a long time - check out his Portfolio.

I loved how intimate their ceremony was. As it started, friends and family all stood around them, there were no chairs, so everyone was very close to each other and the Bride and Groom-   Ken's illustrations served as the backdrop.

Loud cheers as they exit the gallery - they're married!

We went out to the alley for some photos - yes, the alley! I LOVE these wedding party images.

Brandon and Jamie were married a few weeks ago at Estancia La Jolla. These two remind us why we love our jobs so much. I can't wait to share the rest with you!

Ken and Christina were married in an art gallery down the street from a Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles where Snoop Dog frequents.

 

I brought my polaroid landcamera along to do some experimenting and am really happy with the results!

andy + erin, a harbor excursion wedding - san diego wedding photography

Andy and Erin are from Georgia but moved to San Diego after college. They treated their family and friends, most from out of state, to a cruise around the beautiful San Diego Bay aboard the California Princess.  The skyline was the perfect backdrop for their wedding!
