I have to confess that it totally brings tears of joy to my eyes to look at these photographs of my beautiful friend, Anna, and her precious family.

Delightful baby Quinn is six months old! I feel so honored to be documenting the first year of her life, and working with her family is just such a joy. She's one of the happiest babies I've ever met, her little smile lights up the room. You may remember her newborn session from last summer... she's grown a bit since then! Prepare yourself for the cuteness....

These two were so fun to capture - so sweet, adorable and just a pleasure to work with. This session was something Dad arranged as a surprise for Mom. I'd say he brought his A game with the outfit selection, wouldn't you!?
I also love this location, The Spanish Village Art Center in Balboa Park. I can't get enough of the rustic tiles and vibrant colors.

This family is always so fun to work with, they have great ideas and are up for anything we suggest. I've also loved watching their boys grow up - they are becoming quite handsome young men!

We ducked inside one of my favorite restaurants in San Diego, Bar Basic. They have some of the best pizza I have ever tasted! The staff was super awesome and let us hang out in the VIP lounge for a bit.
Then we headed towards Petco Park. I love the colors in these:
They brought along their oldest son's best friend, who has become part of their family. She jumped in for a couple shots.

We have been shooting this family since their little cutie was just newborn. I love watching families grow, it's one of my favorite things about what I do!
When brainstorming locations for this family session, Erik suggested that we shoot them at the bar they co-own, The Wit's End. How was I to argue with that??? It also gave me the opportunity to play with some off camera flash - so fun!!
