I know, I know... our poor blog has been a little neglected lately. There's a good reason for that, though! We were busy having an awesome summer, spending time together as a family. We've got LOTS to share soon, promise!
For now, I wanted to share the photos from our magical summer vacation. We are an outdoorsy type family so we spent a week in the Rocky Mountain National Park area hiking, fishing, thrift store shopping, bike riding (a tandem!), eating delicious bbq, pizza and burgers at Penelope's, driving trough the Arctic Tundra at 12,000 feet, saw a beautiful rainbow, ate breakfast on our deck three feet from the Big Thompson River, fed chipmunks, more fishing, more eating and just loving life. There was one point where I watched my daughter wade out into the river with Erik where he was fishing and when she turned back the smile on her face was so genuine, I felt so happy at that moment that I thought my heart might burst. Really, it was magical.
The highlight of our trip was definitely white water rafting. I wish I knew the photographer's name so I could give him the credit.
The rest of the images were taken with our crappy point and shoot by all three of us. Madi is becoming quite the photographer. Click on the photos to enlarge.
I'm riddled with envy right now - this looks like such an amazing vacation! Can't wait to hear all about it in person :)
